I'm spending my days recovering from my latest surgery. This latest surgery was needed for a long time and I finally decided to go ahead and do what needed to be done. One of three bad discs in my neck had degenerated to the point it was causing so much pain and numbness in my left arm and at times I couldn't control my arm, hand and fingers.
My surgery went well and it has been 8 days. I took off the bandage yesterday and the incision looks really good, big but good. I'm still having a lot of pain and I using pain killers. The real sucky thing is, is that I have a recovery time of three months of not lifting anything heavier than a milk jug. My Daughter is very good about helping me do the things that I need to do. She is such a wonderful girl, the best Daughter I could ever ask for.
To make a very long story short 17 years ago I lived in Alaska and worked in a Nursing home and that is were all my injuries came from.
So anyway, the mixed media painting at the top of this post is what I have been doing lately. I'm so addicted to this and Art jounaling this is so much fun. The best thing about this type of painting is that I learned something so helpful to me and that is something I keep in my mind when I'm painting. "Other people may not like what I paint, I may not like what I paint, it doesn't have be perfect. All that matters is that I paint."
Have a Wonderful Day!!
